Northern Estonia

Vanamõisa Caravanpark 1

If you don’t want to go too far from Tallinn, then a good place to camp is the Vanamõisa caravan park, just six kilometres from the Tallinn city border. All services, such as shops, can be found nearby. A health centre is less than two kilometres away. There are no less than 150 places for motorhomes and versatile campsite services, including washing machines and dryers. The cost for one night is 24-26 euros.

 

Lepispea Caravan & Camping 2

Located in Lahemaa National Park, the Lepispea campsite is located by the sea about one kilometre from Võsu town centre, and about 75 kilometres east of Tallinn. The area has easy access to the beautiful sandy beach of Käsmu Bay and swimming. Lepispea Caravan & Camping can accommodate no less than 200 motorhomes. The price, which includes electricity, starts at 26 euros per night.

 

Paunküla Holiday Centre 3

Paunküla Holiday Centre is only about a 45-minute drive from Tallinn. Homemade food is available in the main building. You can ride quad bikes and pedal boats on the site. Car safaris are made with old Soviet army trucks. There is also a raft sauna on the lake. There are five mobile home spaces. Prices start from 15 euros per night.

 

Laukataguse Holiday Village 4

The Laukataguse Holiday Village is located in Rapla, about 60 kilometres from Tallinn, by the water and in the middle of nature. The holiday village has invested in traditional Finnish saunas. A special attraction is the Finnish smoke sauna. There are 4–6 places for motorhomes/caravans, and the price is 20 euros per night.

 

Western Estonia and the Islands

Camping Pikseke 5

Pikseke, located in Haapsalu, is only two kilometres from the city centre. Sights and activities include Haapsalu’s old town, castle, spas, beach and golf course. There are 25 places for motorhomes. There is also Wi-Fi, a kitchen, showers, a washing machine and a sauna. Prices start from 23 euros per night.

 

Lammasmäe Holiday Centre 6

Lammasmäe Holiday Centre is located in Linnuse village in Lääne-Virumaa. The site is open all year round, and breakfast is available for an additional fee. From the resort, you can go on canoe trips and visit a peat sauna. A mobile home parking space costs from 20 euros per night. There are 50 places available. 

 

Solar Caravan Park 7

Located near Pärnu, the Solar Caravan Park offers, as its name suggests, accommodation powered by solar energy. Although there are a lot of caravan sites, about 60 there is a peaceful environment. Additional services include a self-service laundry, a barbecue area and a bike rental office. The site is open all year round, and parking a caravan/motorhome costs from 26 euros per night.

 

Jõulumäe Recreation Centre 8

Jõulumäe Recreation Center is also located in Pärnumaa. It is surrounded by a pine forest, with plenty of space for caravanners. The fitness centre offers a wide range of exercise opportunities and hiking trails in the nearby nature for both joggers and mountain bikers. Nearby is also the Rannametsa–Tolkuse nature and study trail. There are 6 caravan spaces, and the parking lot can accommodate 10 more. Prices start at 5 euros per night without electricity and 10 euros with electricity.

 

Muha Beach Holiday Home 9

Muha Ranna is located in the western part of Saaremaa, about 30 kilometres from Kuressaare. The beach is only 250 meters away. There is a lake and a river half a kilometre away. It is also possible to fish in the area. There are 15 places for mobile homes, and the price is 20 euros per night.

 

Tehumardi Camping 10

There are two small lakes on the Tehumardi Camping site in Saaremaa, one of which you can swim in and the other of which you can row a boat in. The sea is also only about 200 metres away. Guests can use, among other things, a kitchen, toilet and showers. There are 70 spaces for motorhomes. Prices start at 22 euros per night.

 

Pidula Forelli Holiday Village 11

The Pidula Forelli holiday village on Saaremaa is located only one kilometre from the sea. There are many recreational opportunities: boating, canoe trips, tennis courts, a diving club and trout fishing. There are also saunas, such as a juniper sauna, a raft sauna and a barrel sauna. There are half a dozen places for caravans and motorhomes. The price is 16 euros per night.

 

Kalana Holiday Village 12

At the western tip of Hiiumaa, on the Kõpu peninsula, you will find Kalana Holiday Village, which is open until late autumn. In the evenings, the harbour cafe is open, there are also two guest houses in the area. Dances and concerts are offered in the summer. There are 10 motorhome spaces and they cost 25 euros per day for two adults. If there are more adults, an additional fee of 5 euros per person is charged.

 

Southern Estonia

Innijärve Caravan Camping 13

On the shore of Lake Innijärvi, about 10 kilometers from Otepää, there is a camping site that is only open in the summer. A bicycle marathon route and Noitama’s secret witch trail are located nearby. A place for a motorhome or caravan costs from 15 euros per night and there are a total of 30 places available.

 

Vaibla Holiday Center 14

The Vaibla Holiday Center is located on the northern shore of Võrtsjärv lake, more than 30 kilometres from Viljandi. The center has its own beach on the shores of the lake. For SF-Caravan members, the resort offers a 10 per cent discount or alternatively three nights for the price of two. A place for a motorhome or caravan costs 25 euros per day. There are 40 places available.

 

Kiviranna Holiday Home 15

On the shore of Võrtsjärv lake there is a two-hectare camping area with 20 places for mobile homes. Breakfast is available for an additional fee. The proximity to the lake and hiking and nature trails receives special praise. Prices start from 25 euros per night.

 

Salamaa Camping 16

The campsite is located in Põlvamaa, in the village of Taevaskoja, near the iconic and breath-taking sandstone cliffs, river and enchanted forest. The site is less than an hour’s drive south of Tartu. The campsite has a kitchen where you can fill up with drinking water, as well as barbecue and campfire places, and saunas. There are 70 places for motorhomes. Prices start from 24 euros per night.

 

Kassioru Holiday Home 17

This site, located in the nature reserve along the Ahja River in Põlva, is popular for its canoeing trails. It is about 40 kilometres from Tartu, near the village of Taevaskoja. In the area, you can see a lot of waterfowl and maybe even a kingfisher. The sacred caves of ancient Estonians are also just a few kilometres away. There are 15 places available for motorhomes. Prices start from 25 euros per night.

 

Eastern Estonia

Peipsi Caravan 18

Peipsi Caravan site, which is is located in the county of Tartumaa on an old farm, has 10 caravan spaces. The site is open to tourists from 1 May to 30 September. Nina’s lighthouse is just a 10-minute walk away. Nearby you will also find the Alaskivi hiking trail and nature centre, as well as Kallaste beach area. There is also a Finnish smoke sauna on site. Prices start from 23 euros per night.

 

Valaste Holiday Village 19

The Valaste Holiday Village in Toila, Eastern Estonia, is located near the Valaste waterfall, which is the highest in Estonia at 30 metres. It is also where the newly opened Valaste-Ontika hiking trail begins. The holiday village is open all year round. There are 6 places for motorhomes. The price is 15 euros per night.

 

Mereoja Camping 20

There is a recently completed campsite for caravanners in the municipality of Aseri by the sea in North-eastern Estonia. The site  is especially suitable for families with children, as there is a large playground. There is also a small kiosk on the site that sells refreshments, ice cream and frozen products. There are 60 spaces for motorhomes and prices start at 23 euros per night.
