The week-long Winter Swimming World Championships started yesterday in Tallinn. The event, which is the largest of its kind in the world, will bring participants from all over the world. The championships will continue until March 10.
This year at the Winter Swimming World Championships they are also aiming to set the world record for the largest number of participants in a relay swim. The last time the same world record was broken was also in Estonia, at Noblessner’s winter swimming event in 2020, when 505 participants took part. Now the goal is to get 1000 swimmers to participate in the relay. The race will be held on Friday, March 8.
You can watch the swimmers jumping into the ice-cold water all week long free of charge. The full competition calendar can be found on the official Winter Swimming World Championships website. You can also register for all of the competitions and side events here.
