Efterklang to celebrate 20 years of music at a concert in Tallinn

On December 7, the beloved Danish band Efterklang will perform at Paavli Culture Factory in Tallinn as part of their European tour celebrating two decades of music. The concert will feature a special guest appearance by Fred Wallin, bassist and co-producer of the Swedish electro-pop band Little Dragon, who will showcase his solo project, Funny Weather.

Founded in the early 2000s by childhood friends Casper Clausen, Mads Brauer, and Rasmus Stolberg, Efterklang means “recollection” or “after sound” in Danish. Known for their atmospheric soundscapes and electroacoustic experimentation, they have drawn comparisons to iconic bands such as Sigur Rós and The Beatles. Influenced by a diverse range of artists, including Talk Talk and Arvo Pärt, their seven albums incorporate strings, brass, choirs, and field recordings from an abandoned ghost town in the Arctic.

At the concert, Efterklang will present their latest album, Things We Have In Common, which was released on September 27. This new work showcases their signature rich atmospheric sound while giving more prominence to silence, resulting in music that embraces vulnerability and the beauty of unseen connections.

Funny Weather

Fred Wallin will perform with a four-piece band, introducing his solo project Funny Weather, which incorporates elements of RnB, soul, and global folk heritage. His debut EP, Banner of a Lost Belief, released in 2022, sets the stage for his upcoming full-length album due in January. The album’s lead single will be unveiled during the concert.

More information about the concert and tickets is available on the official Efterklang webpage.
