Tallinn New Year’s Eve fireworks to be held outside the city centre

This year, the city of Tallinn will hold its New Year’s Eve fireworks display at the Russalka statue next to Inglirand. The cost of the display for the city will be 15,000 euros.

Since the fireworks will be visible in practically the entire area of the city, there is no reason to come to a small area in the city centre, the city informed.

“Inglirand was chosen as the place for the fireworks display because crowds can be scattered all over the city. Fireworks can be watched throughout the Tallinn area, from the Kopli headland to the Viimsi headland. The fireworks can also be watched from Lasnamäe and the singing stage, i.e. it can be seen all over the city, ”explained Monika Haukanõmm, the director of the city centre.

Haukanõmm also added that for the welfare of pets and to prevent accidents, city dwellers are urged to avoid using their own fireworks.

The New Year’s Eve fireworks will last seven minutes.
