A three-day-long Christmas market will begin tomorrow at the UKU Shopping Centre in Viljandi. At the market, you will find all manner of handicrafts made by local artisans as well as locally-produced foods.
The event is organised by a local group of craftsmen called the Bonifatius Guild who were established in Viljandi back in 2009. The local craftsmen and women of the group produce unique handmade textiles, ceramics, glass, and other items. Also, did you know that St Bonifatius was the patron saint of craftsmen in the Middle Ages?
At Viljandi Christmas market, which is celebrating its tenth birthday this year, you will not just find handicrafts from the Bonifatius Guild, but also delicious locally-produced foods.
The selection on offer at the Christmas market is promised to be bigger and more diverse than in previous years.
The Christmas market, which will be held at the UKU Shopping Centre in Viljandi, will be open on the following dates and times:
December 21–22: 10 am-6 pm
December 23: 10 am-5 pm
