The Estonian National Male Choir will perform 3 festive concerts around Estonia this week

The last week before Christmas is a busy time for concerts, with many taking place all over Estonia. These include festive performances from the country’s most famous and talented artists, choirs, and orchestras. One such concert tour will be the Estonian National Male Choir which will perform three concerts around Estonia

On December 20, 21, and 23, the Estonian National Male Choir will perform the most beautiful Christmas carols from the likes of Helena Tulve, Guillaume de Machaut, Nicolas Gombert, Cipriano de Rore, Francis Poulenc, and many others. The choir’s concerts can be enjoyed in Jõhvi, Tartu, and Tallinn.

Lodewijk van der Ree

The conductor of the choir, Lodewijk van der Ree from the Netherlands has lived in Estonia for the past seven years. He is also the choirmaster and tenor of the Estonian Philharmonic Choir, as well as the director of the chamber choir Noorus and the guest director of the women’s chamber choir Sireen.

Tickets for the concerts on December 20 and 21 in Jõhvi  and Tartu are available at Piletilevi. Tickets for the concert on December 23 in Tallinn are available here
