For the first time ever, the trendy area of Telliskivi will host a Christmas market filled with festive spirit today, December 16. The indoor shopping street of Loomelinnak and the Green Hall (Roheline Saal in Estonian) will be filled with stalls. Individual shops will also be hosting events as will the Fotografiska photography museum.
The area of Telliskivi has seen a magical transformation in the past decade from an area of empty factories and warehouses to a trendy place to shop, eat out, and party.
Just last week, the area saw the opening of an outdoor ice rink. Joining in this winter and festive spirit, the area will host its very first Christmas market today, December 16.
The market will take place on the indoor shopping street of Loomelinnak as well as in the Green Hall. The latter of which is often a venue for live music.
Some of the shops in the shopping street will also be having their own little festive events and offers as part of the Christmas market. In addition, the Dokfoto Centre will be hosting a year-end photo art market and the Fotogarfiska photography museum will be showing the family film “No Christmas with a Ghost” as part of its 5th birthday celebrations.
You can learn a little more about the event (in Estonian) on Facebook.
