Estonia’s preeminent fashion event is taking off on the runway today in Tallinn’s Vene kultuurikeskus. Tallinn Fashion Week, which has presented its Kuldnõel (Golden Needle) award for nearly 20 years, showcases Estonia’s top fashion design talent. This year’s event will feature more than 15 established and up-and-coming designers’ collections.
Haute couture, or “high sewing”, meaning exclusive, custom-fit fashion, is a dominant theme at almost any fashion event. Tallinn Fashion Week 2025 will naturally also include several other themes this year, including casual wear, street wear, and environmentally-conscious fashion.
Estonia isn’t known only for fashion, however. This small country reportedly has the most “supermodels” per capita in the world. Attending Tallinn Fashion Week is more than just viewing the most stylish fashion, it’s also about seeing if you can spot a famous face on the runway. Or in the audience!
More info about Tallinn Fashion Week can be seen here in Estonian, and tickets are available here. The venue, Vene kultuurikeskus, is in the immediate vicinity of Tallinn’s Old Town, a fashionable moment’s walk from the passenger port and most hotels.
