Street food for a satisfied belly
Text Susanna Poikela Photos Uulits
Uulits ’story began with a food truck run by two avid young chefs, Artur Parm and Mario Pärn. The dishes prepared by the chefs quickly gained great popularity. This inspired the duo to establish their first Uulits restaurant in Mustamäe, Tallinn, in 2014. Uulits offers succulent gourmet burgers made from beef.
“In our seven years of operation, we have never compromised on quality. Now we can proudly say that we have made our own contribution to bringing Estonian street food to the world map,” says Artur Parm, the restaurant’s founder.
There are already four Uulits restaurants in Tallinn, one in Tartu, and a sixth Uulits (in the picture above) will open in the Pärnu water park for the summer season in May.
In addition to burgers, dishes from around the world are available. The menus of all six Uulits restaurants are different, making it worth checking out each restaurant individually.
For example, in Uulits in Mustamäe, in addition to burgers, tasty Neapolitan pizzas are made in an authentic wood-fired oven. English fish and chips are served in Kalamaja, and Taiwanese steaks are served at Viimsi Uulits. Vegans have not been forgotten either. The menu also includes mouth-watering, meat-free and dairy-free options.
The six Uulits restaurants can be found in the following locations:
Uulits Kadaka, Kadaka tee 135 A, Tallinn.
Uulits Soo, Soo 1 B/6, Tallinn.
Uulits Balta, Kopli 1, Tallinn.
Uulits Tartu, Rüütli 7, Tartu.
Uulits Viimsi, Sõpruse tee 15, Viimsi.
Uulits Pärnu, Rannapark, Pärnu.
