Summer is all about sunny weather, tasty food, and good drinks. This coming Friday and Saturday (June 7-8) you can enjoy all of three at the same time in Pärnu at the popular annual Good Food Festival: Grillfest.
A festival area of more than 30 000 square metres will be built on Pärnu’s Vallikäär meadow for the 25th yearly edition of Grillfest this weekend.
In addition to food, there will be music, performances, workshops, and competitions. On Saturday, for example, the festival will host the Summer Cocktail Competition, which aims to develop Estonian drinking culture and create new cocktails from local drinks and ingredients.
The festival will also showcase this year’s barbecue trends and host the Estonian Barbecue Gala, which will award the most successful and tasty products of the season and their manufacturers. There will be an inter-school food competition, Grillium, where young people will compete against each other in grilling skills.
Dance and music performances will happen throughout both days day. Local dance groups, singers and bands will take the stage, including saxophonist Henry Aruküla, singer Merlyn Uusküla, Khrystel, Jakko Maltis Big Band, and many others.
The festival area will also include a children’s stage with workshops, performances, and activities. For more information on the free-to-attend event visit Grillfest’s official website.
