The bus operator Lux Express will begin operating two summer season routes from Tartu, from this Friday (June 17). The first route will travel from Tartu to Kuressaare, with stops in Viljandi and Pärnu. The second will travel from Tartu to the popular summer town of Narva-Jõesuu in Ida-Virumaa.
Starting this Friday, June 17, bus operator Lux Express will begin operating a summer route from Tartu to Kuressaare. The bus will leave daily at 9:20 am from Tartu, with stops in Viljandi, Pärnu, Virtsu and Kuivastu ports, along with Liiva on the island of Muhu and Valjala on Saaremaa before arriving in Kuressaare.
The stop in Pärnu will also enable travellers from Riga on the 9 am Tallinn bus, to easily and conveniently transfer to the Kuressaare bus. The bus will depart from Kuressaare on its return journey at 4:55 pm each day.
The Tartu-Saaremaa route operated prior to the pandemic, but has not run in the previous two summers.
The second summer route offered from June 17, will be an extension of the current Narva route to the popular summer town of Narva-Jõesuu. The route extension will add stops at Narva-Jõesuu’s Apteegi, Meresuu and Nooruse bus stops. The bus will leave Tartu daily at 12 noon and return at 4 pm.
Both routes will operate from June 17 to August 21.
