The 15th Vegan Fair will be held at Tallinn’s Creative Hub on 18–19 October. The event showcases a wide range of plant-based products and vegan lifestyles.
“There has never been a more relevant time than now to talk about a life where animals are not needed for human benefit. The Vegan Fair is a bit like a theme park for the vegan world, where you can see, taste, and buy new vegan products as well as participate in inspiring lectures and workshops,” says Jesper Veber, the event’s project manager.
Starting in 2011 at the Solaris shopping centre, the event has grown over 15 years into the largest vegan event in the Baltics, attracting exhibitors and visitors from across Europe. This year will feature more international performers than ever before.
The fair’s programme covers topics from the future of food production and innovations in plant-based milks to ultramarathons fueled by a plant-based diet. Discussions will also focus on farm animal sanctuaries and the lessons they offer about animal welfare and recovery. Additionally, there will be talks on the health effects of processed plant-based foods, advertising of animal-based products, and the role of social media in animal advocacy. A new feature of the fair is an exhibition of products not usually found on vegan shelves in stores.
The Vegan Fair is open on Saturday from 11:00 to 18:00, and on Sunday from 11:00 to 16:00. Day tickets cost €10 in advance (until 17 October), and €12 at the door. Free entry for children under 12. Tickets are available here and at the venue. Read more about the event here.
