Designer finds in TallinnMario Melani presents the elegant selection of his boutique.

At the beginning of the year, the design shop Tali moved from its old location in Kalamaja to the busy indoor shopping street in Telliskivi’s Loomelinnak. The selection includes both Estonian and international designer brands.

Opposite Tali is Ilma Pood, which sells mostly Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian natural cosmetics, organic food and ecological household products.

When arriving at the shopping street, you should first try perhaps Tallinn’s best coffee at Fika and enjoy the bohemian atmosphere of Telliskivi for a while. After that, you can explore the wide variety of shops, ranging from clothing stores and bakeries to flower shops.

Teke keraamika is a boutique selling art and ceramics, with the works of 39 ceramists on display. Most of the artists are members of the Union of Estonian Ceramicists. The store also has a small exhibition that changes once a month.

Teke also organises ceramics courses taught by Estonia’s top ceramicists. “We invite travelers to participate in our workshops at the Teke Studio next door. We send the  completed works to you afterwards by mail,” advises Maarika Saarelaht, one of the founders of the store and studio.

Kirju.co jewelry is one of the most purchased products in Tali.

It is not a far from Tuscany to Tallinn’s old town

Accademia Boutique is an Italian clothing brand whose name is also borne by a stylish clothing store in the heart of Tallinn’s old town.

“My grandmother founded Accademia in 1960 in Italy and our whole family works in the company,” says owner Mario Melani, who also brought the clothing brand to the Baltics.

The brand originally comes from the city of Pistoia in Tuscany, where all Accademia clothing collections are still designed and manufactured. “During our years of operation, we have built up a solid and internationally loyal customer base. Finnish customers also regularly visit our stores in Tallinn .

The newest Accademia Boutique opened at the beginning of April on the picturesque Pikk Street in Tallinn’s old town. The selection includes clothes, accessories and shoes for women. The prices of clothes are 50–150 euros, and shoes can be found for 75–190 euros. Accademia also have a store in Pärnu.
