Days of National Cultures 2026 in Tallinn

Tallinn is more than just Estonia’s capital city, it’s the people who live there, and not all are Estonians! This is why from 19–27 September, the Days of National Cultures in Tallinn will be celebrated. The ethnic minorities of the city showcase their foods, art, music, dance, and much more through a very diverse programme taking place in many locations all around the city. Come check out how everyone living in Tallinn makes it such a wonderful place to live!

Celebrated since 2015, the Days of National Cultures focuses a lot on Tallinn’s Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Finnish, Jewish, and Tatar populations. There are also hundreds of residents who come from many other countries, like Sweden, Italy, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, and even these days “political refugees” from the US.

From 16–27 September there will be various exhibitions at the Mere Cultural Centre. 18 September will see a Bashkir National Cuisine Cooking Workshop, as well as a Scottish Dance Evening. The next two days will see an ethnic cultures fair on Town Hall Square, which will last all day and consist of various performances.

That’s just the start of the programme! There will be events featuring Malaysia, Africa, Madagascar, India, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Greece, Nigeria, Belarus, Portugal, Ukraine, Borneo, Togo, and the list just goes on and on. The Days of National Cultures 2026 in Tallinn will also feature several workshops and lectures on topics such as Finno-Ugric patterns, percussion, cocktails, and even a Bollywood dance school.
