IV Haaslava Vintage Machinery Day

Just to the southeast of Tartu, in Southern Estonia, there will be a one-day event exhibiting vintage machinery on 9 August. Tractors, buses, trucks, cars, and more will all be on display. Many of these vehicles are nearing a hundred years old. This is an ideal event for vintage machinery enthusiasts, especially those who are interested in Soviet-era machinery—something that isn’t displayed in the rest of Europe very often at all.
The day will kick off with a procession of vintage vehicles, eventually arriving at the Vooremäe Ski Centre at 11:00. If you happen to have a vehicle that you think would make an excellent addition, feel free to contact the organisers here. After the procession, all vehicles will be on display to the public for a few hours. Feel free to ask the owners questions, and if you’re lucky, you might even be able to sit behind the wheel of a car your grandparents might have once driven.
The event itself is more in the form of a fair, with various goods on sale, including food and beverages. Tickets to the event itself are only €2. You’ll be able to enjoy live music as well, in the form of a brass band. But that’s not all! The vintage machinery won’t be the only vintage items on display. All visitors are encouraged to dress in vintage clothing as well, all the way up until the styles of the 1990s. Later there will be a costume competition. Let’s just hope that we all still fit in our old clothes.
The IV Haaslava Vintage Machinery Day is an event for the whole family. Children will also be able to enjoy a bouncy castle, face painting, and a small petting zoo.
See you in Southern Estonia!
