Tallinn Craft Beer Weekend

They say that France has a cheese for every day of the year, and Belgium has a beer for every day of the year. For one weekend, Tallinn will have a craft beer for every day of the year, even though there are only two days in a weekend. Luckily, the venue is located right in the heart of Tallinn, close to all the hotels.

Now in its eleventh year, Tallinn Craft Beer Weekend, or as locals write it, TCBW, promises a “buffet-style” lineup of craft beers with a selection topping 350. The event itself will take place in Tallinn’s spectacularly renovated Kultuurikatel, a former industrial plant, right across the street from the Old Town.

Craft beers from Latvia, Hungary, Sweden, the UK, Finland, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, China!!!, France, Poland, and even the US will be available for tasting, or even drinking. And don’t forget the host country for TCBW: Estonia. They will have a whopping 12 microbreweries represented.

Organised by Põhjala Brewery in Tallinn, six tours of the same brewery will also be available for an extra fee. But be careful, visibly intoxicated guests will not be allowed on the tour.

Beers available for sampling include all types imaginable, plus some rather quirky new inventions. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, you’ll still be glad you tried ‘em. There will also be several extremely high-quality brews available. This is a perfect event for new beer aficionados who want to learn to appreciate the world’s most popular beverage. After water, that is. Guests should be reminded that American breweries will also be on site.

While there will be many beers, beards, and bros at TCBW, it could make for an excellent couples’ event, or even groups. More information, as well as tickets, are available here.

**Please drink responsibly. Taxis are readily available throughout the duration of the event. Please do not use a rental scooter when leaving.
