Parking fees in Tartu to rise by 50% from July 1

From this Friday, July 1, the cost of parking in Tartu will rise significantly. The hourly charge for parking in Zone’s A and B will rise by 50 per cent. However, the cost of parking in Zone C will remain the same. Due to a high number of parked cars, paid parking times will also be extended to Saturdays, as well as by a further hour on weekday evenings.

Starting on Friday, July 1, parking in Tartu’s Zone A will rise from 2 euros per hour to 3. In Zone B, this will rise from 1 euro to 1.50 euros. This is a price increase of 50 per cent on current parking costs. There will also be new higher fees for longer-term parking. In Zone A, 1 month will now cost 120 euros, 3 months 300 euros, and 1 year 1200 euros. In Zone B, 1 month will now cost 60 euros, 3 months 150 euros, and 1 year 600 euros.

Despite the rises in Zones A and B, prices in Zone C will remain the same.

In addition to changes to parking fees, the paid parking time on weekdays has been extended by one hour to 7 pm. Parking fees will now also apply on Saturday’s between 11 am and 5 pm. The reason given for these changes being the high number of parked cars in Zone’s A and B.

The free parking period of 15 minutes remains unchanged.
