The Estonian Health Board has dropped the mandatory requirement to complete a passenger locator form for all people entering Estonia.
It will still be possible to complete and submit this form online, but now it is optional and will no longer be enforced at the border. This new rule will apply from yesterday – Tuesday March 1.
The removal of the passenger locator form requirement will make it much easier and quicker for those visiting or returning to Estonia to pass border control. Especially for those individuals from abroad who were unaware of the requirement and had to fill in these forms upon arrival by air or ship.
The Health Board has also changed its policy regarding contacting people who test positive for the coronavirus. Instead of being called by telephone, all those who have tested positive will be contacted by SMS message.
