Tallinn Beer and Burger Festival

Beer, and burgers: a holy duo that is all too often ignored. Each of these are wonderful and beloved on their own, but when consumed together, they provide an experience greater than the sum of their parts. This is why Telliskivi is holding its first-ever annual Tallinn Beer and Burger Festival! This weekend only—until next year, that is.

The two-day festival will feature craft beers from breweries in Estonia, Finland, and Latvia. Gastronomists can expect an incredibly vast array of burger selections. Something for every palette will be available to visitors, including burger chefs from several countries doing what they do best.

Even if you’re not into beer, there will still be lots of activities to participate in, or just watch. Starting at noon today—Friday—live DJs will keep the mood going throughout the afternoon and evening. There will be a “beer arm-wrestling” competition, followed by a burger-eating competition. We’ve all seen American television showing people stuff their faces on hot dogs, or pies. Now you have a chance to participate, but with…burgers.

But if there will be arm-wrestling competitions somehow involving beer, and burger-eating competitions, then surely there must be a beer drinking contest, right? Of course! That will start at 17:30, and will in all likelihood end a few minutes later. Joking aside, visitors can expect a lot of fun, and if you time it right, you’ll get some great photos!

The second day—Saturday—will more or less be a repeat of the same events, in case you couldn’t quite make it to the first day. The full programme and more information are available here.
