Noblessner Igloo Park is the perfect place for private parties and sauna nights. At Christmas time there is also a programme for families.
History, experiences and good food at Teletorn
Have you ever celebrated a Christmas party among the clouds? Tallinn’s TV Tower offers a unique venue with a restaurant, an exhibition area, and a 21st-floor observation deck for events and gatherings.
For an additional fee, more adventurous guests can sit on the edge of the TV Tower, which is a couple of hundred metres above the ground. For those who are less keen on heights, there is also the option to enjoy a virtual tour with VR glasses. The restaurant floor and exhibition space will be open this winter from 10 am to 6 pm, although private events can be arranged outside of these hours.
Estonian Craft Beer and Texas BBQ at Põhjala Tap Room
Põhjala is Estonia’s most renowned craft beer producer, and their Põhjala Tap Room in Noblessner offers a ‘Family Style’ menu for groups. This menu features a variety of dishes shared across the table, showcasing the brewery’s finest offerings. For groups of eight or more, a special menu can be arranged. “We’re an American-style restaurant, so the portions are generous, and there’s certainly enough food for everyone,” says Peeter Keek, director of the Põhjala Tap Room. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends when the restaurant tends to be full.
Did you know you can also enjoy a sauna at Põhjala Tap Room? A private sauna room is located at the back of the brewery restaurant and can accommodate about ten people. Groups can order food and drinks in the sauna lounge. The sauna can be rented for a minimum of two hours, with the first hour priced at 80 euros and subsequent hours at 60 euros each.
“I also recommend our English-language brewery tour, which lasts about an hour and offers a fascinating insight into our entire beer production process,” adds Keek.
He also recommended two special Christmas beers: ‘Kuusk’, brewed with spruce hops, and another made from Czech hops, both of which are available on tap at the brewery restaurant. Both beers pair wonderfully with Christmas food.
Sauna and swimming at Igloo Park
The trendy Noblessner is home to a collection of unique circular wooden huts. Igloo Park, is one of the most interesting places to enjoy a sauna in Tallinn. The park features five saunas, four of which are wood-fired, and one electric sauna. Guests can also rent a hot tub for extra enjoyment during the cold winter evenings. For the brave, a dip in the freezing cold sea is available directly after the sauna.
There are ten overnight cabins at Igloo Park, one of which is equipped with a children’s room. For corporate and private events, two meeting rooms are available, each accommodating up to ten people. During winter, Igloo Park also hosts a magical Christmas celebration for the whole family.
Karaoke in the legendary Satumaa
Satumaa is one of Tallinn’s oldest and most beloved karaoke bars. Located on lively Viru Street, a hub for various bars and eateries, Satumaa offers karaoke in a range of languages including Finnish, English, Estonian, German, and Spanish. With an extensive selection of songs, everyone is bound to find something they enjoy. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the service is highly praised. While the karaoke bar is especially popular with Finns, the atmosphere remains delightfully international. Satumaa is open daily from 6 pm to 4 am.
