With the snow quickly melting, electric scooter and bicycle rental companies are also waking up from their winter slumber, and beginning their rentals once again. In Tallinn, these vehicles are offered by Bolt, Tuul, and Rekola. What’s more, bicycles can be rented from many different bicycle rental companies, such as City Bike, Rendipesa, BikeStore, and Rent Extreme OÜ.
The City of Tallinn’s partners include Bolt, Tuul, and Rekola, which offer e-scooter and bicycle rentals. Deputy Mayor Kristjan Järvan comments, “I am pleased that last November we reached an agreement for the first time to remove e-scooters from the city for winter in order to reduce the risk of injuries and facilitate snow removal in the city. Now that spring is on the way and the roads are starting to be suitable for scooters again, the service providers will resume their operations from 1 March.”
Additionally, parking spaces for e-scooters and bicycles are gradually being introduced throughout Tallinn. The scooter parking system created downtown two years ago will also be expanded towards Kalamaja and Kadriorg.
