Robotex International Festival

Robotex International is the world’s largest robotics and technology festival, and this year on 5–6 December in Tallinn’s Unibet Arena, the festival’s 25th anniversary will be celebrated. Young engineers from around the world will come together to test the limits of their creativity, see how well they can work as a team, and demonstrate the latest technologies.

Originating at TalTech in 2021, Robotex has grown into a festival attracting thousands of robotics enthusiasts from around the world. There will be robotics competitions, workshops for the public to attend, and the general expo of technology and manufacturers, as well as researchers.

Among the competitions will be robots made of Legos, and even a sumo competition, not to mention many other categories. In honour of this year’s anniversary, there will be two additional categories as well: the well-known Mäkketõus from Robotex’s own history, and the all-new “Robot Wheels” competition.

The expo area will also feature Estonian universities and engineering programmes, and for the first time this year, foreign universities will also send representatives. There will also be a booth featuring automotive electronics solutions, and even a gaming tent.

While this year’s event is a major milestone, it being the 25th anniversary, this is also the last time the event will be held in Estonia, so you definitely won’t want to miss this. Full-day tickets cost €15, two-day tickets are €20, and family tickets are €40. Tickets are available online here.
