“Kevadjooks” Spring Fun Run in Northern Tallinn

Spring in Tallinn is the perfect time to get outside, breathe in some fresh sea air, and enjoy the city while literally running around, and the Põhja-Tallinna Kevadjooks, or Northern Tallinn Spring Run, offers exactly that kind of experience. Organised by the local city government, this cheerful community event brings together runners, walkers, families, and anyone who just wants to enjoy an active day outside.

The run takes place in the scenic surroundings of Stroomi Beach Park, with the centre of the event located at the main building of Stroomi Beach. The route winds through one of Tallinn’s most pleasant green areas, offering participants a chance to rediscover the city in springtime. Everyone’s invited to participate, whether you’re racing for a personal best or just enjoying a nice walk.

What makes the Spring Run especially appealing is its inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. There are distances for everyone: a 5 km main run for adults, a 2.5 km course for young participants, and shorter, fun runs for children. Even wheelchair users are warmly encouraged to join, and the course can also be completed at your own pace by walking.

This is not just a sports competition—it’s a community celebration. Families come together, friends cheer each other on, and participants of all ages share the fun of being active. The event is free of charge, making it accessible to anyone who wants to take part, regardless of experience.

Beyond the finish line, the Spring Run is about promoting a healthy lifestyle and encouraging people to spend time outdoors. It highlights how simple and enjoyable physical activity can be, especially in a city like Tallinn, where nature and urban life blend so seamlessly.

Starting times, as well as transport and parking information, are available in Estonian here.
