01–07.11 Tallinn Restaurant Week, around Tallinn
Tallinn Restaurant Week returns with 88 restaurants offering 2-course lunches and 3-course dinners at special prices. The restaurants taking part include Michelin-starred NOA Chef’s Hall, Fotografiska, known for sustainable dining, and Nok Nok, a Thai restaurant recently also recognised by the prestigious guide. Due to its high popularity, booking early is recommended to secure a spot at the most in-demand restaurants.
01–10.11 Rakvere Culture Festival, Rakvere
The Rakvere Culture Festival returns for the fifth time, offering a diverse cultural programme of theatre, music and dance. Highlights include the final performance of the highly popular musical “Nunnad Hoos” by the Vanemuine Theatre. Music lovers can also enjoy different classical concerts, including Mozart’s Requiem performed by the Vanemuine Opera Choir and Symphony Orchestra, string quartet Prezioso, and bandoneon player Kaspar Uljas. Those interested in dance can enjoy performances by the Fioretto Historical Dance Ensemble and others.
01–17.11 From Forest to Table, Across South Estonia
“From Forest to Table”, which is taking place for the fifth time this year, sees restaurants all across south Estonia offer special menus offering wild and local flavours. Each dish will incorporate at least one ingredient freshly picked locally from the forest.
01.11–30.11 Taste Adventure of Ida-Viru, Across Ida-Viru
Throughout November restaurants all around Ida-Virumaa will offer guests special menus, themed dinners and exciting live entertainment.
02.11.2024–02.03.2025 Ryoji Ikeda’s solo exhibition, Estonian National Museum, Tartu
The Estonian National Museum will host a major installation by world-renowned Japanese artist Ryoji Ikeda. The exhibition combines scientific data from the University of Tartu’s Institute of Genomics with performances by the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir. It features two pieces created specifically for Tartu: an audiovisual installation inspired by Estonian DNA and Ikeda’s first sound piece that integrates human voice. Visitors will also be able to see the artist’s acclaimed data-verse installation.
03–07.11 Prime Orchestra. Dance Symphony 80s-90s, Pärnu, Tartu, Jõhvi, Tallinn
The concert “DANCE SYMPHONY 80s-90s” will celebrate the biggest hits of the period, featuring songs by the likes of Abba, Michael Jackson, Madonna, the Bee Gees, and the Backstreet Boys. The program includes original symphonic interpretations of these classics performed by PRIME ORCHESTRA, who are known for their innovative approach to music.
04.11 ELDERBROOK – Another Touch European Tour 2024, Noblessner foundry, Tallinn
The English electronic musician, Elderbrook, returns to Tallinn. He is known for hits like “Cola” and his innovative production techniques that combine classical training with distinctive sounds. The musician will perform tracks from his latest album, “Little Love,” which explores themes of fatherhood and personal growth.
06.11 and 08.11 Lords of the Sound “Music is Coming”, Alexela Concert Hall, Tallinn and Vanemuine Theatre, Tartu
The symphony orchestra LORDS OF THE SOUND is returning to Estonia with an exciting new show titled “Music is Coming.” The performance offers a combination of live orchestral music and vocal ensembles to create a magical atmosphere. The concert will feature music from beloved cult films and video games such as “Game of Thrones,” “Harry Potter,” “The Lord of the Rings,” and “Star Wars.”
07–09.11 St. Martin’s Fair, Unibet Arena, Tallinn
St. Martin’s Fair is the largest handicraft and folkloristic lifestyle event in Estonia. The fair, often described as the song festival of handicrafts, features the best local handicrafts for sale, alongside specialist workshops for craft enthusiasts and activities for children. It is also possible to sample traditional Estonian food while listening to various folk music groups.
08–24.11 PÖFF Black Nights Movie Festival, Tallinn, Tartu
PÖFF is the largest film festival in the Nordic and Baltic region. The programme includes almost 250 full-length domestic and international films produced in the last two years, many have their world and international premieres. The festival has been awarded a Class A certificate, placing it alongside prestigious festivals such as Cannes, Berlin, and Venice.
