An old Estonian proverb says, \u201cDon\u2019t count your festivals before they hatch.\u201d Not because a festival might be cancelled, but because there might be more festivals than you can possibly count in one summer basket. Summer 2026 is one such summer, where multiple festivals are scheduled for the same dates. The Baltic Guide<\/i> would like to extend a friendly challenge to our wonderful readers to attend even a handful of the great music events coming up this summer, and this doesn\u2019t even include the concerts of huge international superstars<\/span><\/a><\/span> performing soon in Estonia!<\/p>\n Starting in calendrical order, and not in order of importance of course, is the Baltica Folklore Festival<\/span><\/a><\/span>, happening for the 38th time. Each year it\u2019s in a different country, and this year\u2019s folk music festival is in Tallinn, Estonia, from 3\u20137 June.<\/p>\n S\u00f5ru Jazz<\/a><\/span> will happen on 18\u201321 June on the island of Hiiumaa, featuring Sadu, and Mari J\u00fcrjens, one of Estonia\u2019s many rising stars, in addition to many other performers.<\/p>\n This year\u2019s main Midsummer party will be P\u00fchaj\u00e4rve Jaanituli<\/span><\/a><\/span>, or Midsummer Bonfire in P\u00fchaj\u00e4rve, near Otep\u00e4\u00e4 in Southern Estonia, featuring several Estonian artists in a beach setting.<\/p>\n \u00d5lleSummer<\/a><\/span>, one of Estonia\u2019s most famous music festivals, will kick off on 1 July until 4 July in Tallinn\u2019s Song Festival Grounds. Dozens of local artists will perform, as well as headliner Katrina of Katrina and the Waves, famous for \u201cWalking on Sunshine\u201d.<\/p>\n Juu J\u00e4\u00e4b<\/a><\/span> is back again, on the island of Muhu, from 2\u20135 July.<\/p>\n The third festival happening that same weekend is Hard Rock Laager<\/span><\/a><\/span>, featuring international and local metal and hard rock bands on 3\u20134 July in Vana-Vigala, in Western Estonia.<\/p>\n P\u00e4rnu Beach Grind<\/a><\/span>,<\/span> the extremely popular music festival happening right by the beach in Estonia\u2019s summer capital, will take place from 9\u201311 July. One of the headliners will be Estonia\u2019s very own Tommy Cash, officially stylised as TOMM\u00a5 \u20acA$H.<\/span><\/p>\n KiKuMu<\/a><\/span> festival is back for its second year. Featuring cinema, art, and music\u2014kino, kunst, muusika, or KiKuMu\u2014this festival got off to a great start<\/span><\/a><\/span> last year! Located at J\u00e4neda Manor in L\u00e4\u00e4ne-Viru County from 9\u201312 July.<\/p>\n The next weekend is the world-famous I Land Sound<\/span><\/a><\/span> festival, on the island of Saaremaa from 16\u201319 July, featuring dozens of artists from around the world and spanning many genres of music.<\/p>\n Again on Saaremaa starting at the same time as I Land Sound is the Saaremaa Opera Festival<\/span><\/a><\/span>. Our summary of this exquisite music festival is here<\/span><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n 17\u201318 July will see Ostrova Festival<\/span><\/a><\/span>, a family-oriented festival for all ages, Setomaa, in Southeastern Estonia.<\/p>\n Viljandi Folk<\/span><\/a><\/span> is one of the biggest, most internationally renowned music festivals in Estonia. This year\u2019s theme in Viljandi is \u201cTo each their own instrument\u201d, and the festival takes place from 23\u201326 July.<\/p>\n If you\u2019re more into jazz, and not folk music, then Narva-J\u00f5esuu Jazz<\/span><\/a><\/span> is for you, on 24\u201325 July. Calming jazz music by sandy beaches in a top Estonian resort town\u2026what\u2019s not to like?<\/p>\n Estonia\u2019s \u201ctraveling festival\u201d, V\u00f5nge<\/span><\/a><\/span>, is back again, this year taking place in the village of T\u00f5rva in Southern Estonia. Popular local and international bands, including experimental music\u2014and lots of art!\u2014this festival from 31 July\u20131 August is definitely one to consider.<\/p>\n The second of three festivals on the same weekend is August Blues<\/span><\/a><\/span>, or Augustibluus, from 31 July to 2 August in Haapsalu, Estonia\u2019s \u201cspa town\u201d. This festival features blues artists from the US, the UK, Estonia, Sweden, Finland, and more!<\/p>\n The third festival that weekend is Tallinn Rock Festival<\/span><\/a><\/span>, 31 July\u20132 August, featuring The Scorpions, Godsmack, and Sepultura! This festival will take place in Tallinn\u2019s Unibet Arena outdoor venue.<\/p>\n
