It will bring together young athletes to compete in different wrestling styles, including Greco-Roman, freestyle, and women\u2019s wrestling. The tournament will be limited to 2500 athletes. Last year\u2019s registration ended five weeks in advance because the maximum limit had already been reached.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The main competition runs from 27\u201329 March at the Unibet Arena\u201426 March is only for weigh-ins\u2014with matches scheduled throughout the day from morning to evening. This tournament has been described as potentially the largest open wrestling tournament in the world, attracting a wide range of participants as well as audiences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">After the competition has concluded and all the awards ceremonies held, the event programme will also include an international training camp held from 30 March to 1 April in the same venue, offering further opportunities for athletes to develop their skills and train together.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Overall, the 2026 Tallinn Open combines high-level youth competition with international participation and training opportunities, making it one of the most significant wrestling events in the world for young athletes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The tournament is named for <b>Kristjan Palusalu<\/b>, who won gold medals in the heavyweight category for both Greco-Roman and Freestyle Wrestling in the 1936 Berlin Olympics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Food and drink will be available on site, and more information is available <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/tallinnopen.ee\/2026-TALLINN-OPEN.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s1\">here<\/span><\/a><\/span>.
