A week ago, a free drive-in art exhibition opened to the public inside the parking garage, allowing visitors to view it conveniently either by car or on foot. On display are a selection of illuminated contemporary sculptures by two Estonian artists, <b>Edith Karlson<\/b> and <b>Jass Kaselaan<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cArt is usually expected to be displayed in white halls, quiet rooms, and before viewers who have tuned into the right mood. This space is completely different, and that is precisely what makes it interesting to me. Here, art doesn\u2019t necessarily demand much time or deep focus from its audience\u2014it can simply interrupt people\u2019s everyday lives for a moment,\u201d Kaselaan comments.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">On display in the parking garage are Karlson\u2019s horse sculpture \u201cBody and Soul\u201d, and the sculpture series \u201cThe Drama Is in Your Thoughts\u201d, consisting of child-sized ghost figures cast in plaster. Kaselaan is exhibiting the sculpture groups \u201cSeven Mice\u201d and \u201cThey and Me\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The sculpture exhibition is part of a collaboration related to urban space between the City of Tallinn and a real estate investment and construction company that has supported similar cultural projects for many years. Along with the city, the company has also implemented modern fa\u00e7ade lighting for the Old Town\u2019s defensive walls and towers\u2014and created English- and Finnish-language <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/vaatavanalinna.ee\/en\/homepage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s1\">audio guides<\/span><\/a><\/span> encouraging and guiding visitors along five different evening walking routes in Tallinn.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Among the artists featured in the Freedom Square exhibition, Jass Kaselaan\u2019s sculpture group \u201cToys\u201d is on display in the Uus-Veerenni residential area, and Edith Karlson\u2019s giant dinosaur sculpture \u201cGood Old Times\u201d can be seen in Noblessner.
