The concert \u201cArmastuse h\u00e4\u00e4led\u201d, or \u201cVoices of Love\u201d, offers an atmospheric musical journey from opera to <i>lied<\/i>, and from musical theatre melodies to evergreen classics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The evening\u2019s programme consists of love songs that have touched listeners across generations. The concert includes works by composers such as <b>Georges Bizet<\/b>, <b>Anton\u00edn Dvo\u0159\u00e1k<\/b>, and <b>Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart<\/b>. In addition, well-known pieces by <b>Leonard Bernstein<\/b>, <b>Andrew Lloyd Webber<\/b>, and <b>Astor Piazzolla<\/b> will be performed. Italian music lovers will be treated to beloved songs by <b>Francesco Sartori<\/b> and <b>Eduardo di Capua<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Soprano Marion Melnik graduated from the Sibelius Academy and has performed widely on various stages, and participated in numerous singing competitions. She has a strong background in classical singing, but lighter music also appeals to her: \u201cIn addition to opera, my heart also beats for lighter music. I love being able to combine my skills as broadly as possible.\u201d Melnik\u2019s musical roots also extend to Estonia: her father, <b>Oleg Melnik<\/b>, was a well-known entertainer, and her family supported her path in the world of classical music.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Heart-touching songs from different eras<\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The concert programme has been carefully constructed, and also includes rarely heard gems. \u201cThis concert presents a cross-section of opera, <i>lied<\/i>, musicals, and evergreens. It also includes some lesser-known songs that still move listeners, even though they are already hundreds of years old,\u201d Melnik explains.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Dvo\u0159\u00e1k\u2019s \u201cSong to the Moon\u201d from \u201cRusalka\u201d is one of her particular favourites, and the Italian love songs instantly transport listeners under the Mediterranean sun.<br>\u201cThis concert will be a heart-warming whole.
