An art exhibition by a Finnish artist who moved to Estonia ten years ago is on display at J\u00e4neda Manor House and its library, open Monday to Thursday from 10.00 to 18.00. Around 50 paintings of various sizes are on view.<\/p>\n

7 January Finland\u2013US Comedy Show<\/b><\/a>, Tallinn<\/p>\n

Miska Kajanus, who has knocked on the doors of Hollywood and toured the United States with Ismo, performs in English with his show \u201cMy Immigrant Story\u201d. Joining him on stage to entertain the audience is Finnish\u2013American singer and comedian Maria Voltaine.<\/p>\n

9\u201311 January Nordic Combined World Cup event<\/b><\/a>, Otep\u00e4\u00e4<\/p>\n

The world\u2019s leading men and women in ski jumping and cross-country skiing will gather in southern Estonia for three days to compete for individual World Cup points.<\/p>\n


<\/b>10 January David Bowie musical tribute<\/b><\/a>, Tallinn<\/p>\n

Ten years have passed since the death of the pop music genius and the release of his album \u201cBlackstar\u201d. At the Paavli Cultural Factory, the master is remembered by watching the film \u201cThe Man Who Fell to Earth\u201d and enjoying the music of Estonia\u2019s own Bowie tribute band, Spiders from Bars.<\/p>\n

10 January Christmas tree bonfire and drum show<\/b><\/a>, Tartu<\/p>\n

For the fifth year in a row, Christmas trees collected from the Tartu area will be burned in a large fire show, this time accompanied by a drum performance. A pop-up caf\u00e9 will sell hot drinks.<\/p>\n

11 January Day trip to the Wagenk\u00fcll Wonderland<\/b><\/a>, Taagepera<\/p>\n

A charter bus will take travellers from Tallinn across Estonia to visit Taagepera Castle, the spa, and the winter light and theme park. Departure in the morning, lunch at the castle restaurant, return in the evening.<\/p>\n


11 January Speed chess tournament honouring Paul Keres<\/b><\/a>, Narva-J\u00f5esuu<\/p>\n

Estonian chess grandmaster Paul Keres would have turned 109 this week. A speed chess tournament in his memory will be held at the conference centre of the Noorus Spa Hotel, with the city mayor also taking part.<\/p>\n
