The Christmas markets, open until the days between the holidays at Town Hall Square and Balti Jaama Market, are filled with the scent of mulled wine and Christmas foods. In the glow of the Christmas tree and strings of lights, handicrafts and other gift ideas are on offer, along with cheerful stage programmes on weekends.<\/p>\n

The Viljandi art community, the city museum, and local entrepreneurs invite visitors to courtyards and buildings illuminated with lanterns, where various craft workshops are held, and on Saturday, a large Christmas market takes place at the museum.<\/p>\n

The Telliskivi Christmas Market, held for the third time, is full of music, vendors, design products, and good cheer along the shopping street and in the Green Hall, known for its flea markets.<\/p>\n
