Formed in Edinburgh in 1980 and fronted by vocalist Wattie Buchan, the band gave the UK82 movement a recognisable rhythm and aesthetic. Their influence gave rise to a rawer and faster direction in both hardcore and street punk.

The band’s music has also left its mark beyond punk.
