The statistics published by Statistics Estonia on the number of tourists in March were commented on in several newspapers. According to the news, the number of Finnish tourists was only 36,000, a 19% decrease compared to last year.<\/p>\n
However, many have failed to take into account that Easter was in March last year, and this year it was later than usual, at the end of April. In addition, an increasing number of Finnish tourists are staying overnight in places other than those taken into account for the above statistics, i.e. hotels.
