Today, 10 May, they and many other herring dishes are on offer in the small village of Lao off the island of Manija. The village is hosting the annual R\u00e4imeWest herring market.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Fresh herring in various forms awaits fish lovers. In addition to herring, the Munalaiu fishing port offers a variety of other delicacies and programmes. The annual R\u00e4imeWest herring festival in a fishing village near P\u00e4rnu is an excellent way to get to know the local culture. The herring market is open on Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The village of Lao is only half an hour&#8217;s drive from P\u00e4rnu. It takes a couple of hours to drive from Tallinn to the fishing village.
