The concert <i>Sacred Minimalism<\/i> will take place on Friday, November 22, in Tartu and Sunday, November 24, in Tallinn.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Arvo P\u00e4rt (born 1935) is an Estonian composer whose music is recognised globally. In September 2024, he was awarded the prestigious Gold Medal by the Royal Philharmonic Society for nearly 70 years of compositional work. Previous recipients of the RPS Gold Medal include composers such as Johannes Brahms, Richard Strauss, Igor Stravinsky, Benjamin Britten, Leonard Bernstein, and Sofia Gubaidulina.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He is best known for his distinctive and unmistakable compositional style known as <i>Tintinnabuli<\/i>, which has been described as modern spiritual music.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The <i>Sacred Minimalism<\/i> concerts will feature some of P\u00e4rt\u2019s most famous works, including <i>F\u00fcr Alina<\/i>, <i>Spiegel im Spiegel<\/i>, and <i>Fratres<\/i>.
