Christmas is not just about shopping, large amounts of food, and spending precious time with friends and family – it is also about the music. We all have our favourite festive songs, from modern pop tracks to classic Christmas carols that have been sung for generations. Whatever your taste, there will be a Christmas concert for you in Estonia this festive season.<\/p>\n

The highlight of the concert season will be the return of the Vienna Philharmonic Strauss Orchestra <\/b>for the third year in a row. The orchestra will perform a new programme with pieces by Mozart, Brahms, Haydn, Strauss, and more, in P\u00e4rnu (05.12.), Tartu (06.12.), Tallinn (07.12), and J\u00f5hvi (8.12).<\/p>\n

Opera fans also won\u2019t be disappointed with Estonian superstar Elina Nechayeva <\/b>joining forces with Germ\u00e1n Gholami to <\/b>perform classical and Christmas pieces <\/b>at five concerts, in Narva (26.12), Tartu (27.12), <\/b>P\u00e4rnu (28.12), and Tallinn (29.12). Beloved Estonian opera singers Marko Matvere<\/b> and Jassi Zakharov<\/b> will also come together for joint Christmas opera concerts in Tartu (18.12), Tallinn (22.12), Laitse (25.12), and Rapla (26.12).<\/p>\n

If pop is more your cup of tea, well-known Estonian Singers Koit Toome<\/b> and Maarja-Liis Ilus<\/b> will be performing their favourite Christmas tracks at 10 concerts all around Estonia from December 18 to 30. World-renowned Abba tribute band, ABBA Chique<\/b>, will get audiences on their feet (and burning off that turkey) to renditions of \u201cDancing Queen\u201d, Waterloo, Mamma Mia, and not forgetting \u201cHappy New Year\u201d at concerts in P\u00e4rnu (27.12.), Tartu (28.12.), Mooste (29.12), and Tallinn (30.12). <\/span><\/p>\n

The little ones haven\u2019t been forgotten either. Estonian singer Stig R\u00e4sta<\/b><\/span> will perform Christmas concert alongside his two young daughters Lumi and Sadu at four concerts in Tallinn (16.12), Viljandi (20.12), Tartu (21.12), and Mooste (23.12). The concert will include classic Christmas carols as well as songs written together with his daughters.<\/p>\n
