The event serves to commemorate the historical significance of May 15, 1248, when Tallinn was granted L\u00fcbeck\u2019s City Law, allowing it to join the Hanseatic League and become a key player in European trade. This pivotal moment laid the foundation for Tallinn\u2019s growth and prosperity as a city.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Beyond celebrating its historical roots, Tallinn Day is also about fostering community spirit and pride among its residents. It\u2019s a day to celebrate the city\u2019s journey and showcase the life of its residents.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">As usual, there will be a full programme of events happening around the city. The opening ceremony will take place this Wednesday at 12 noon in Old Town square, followed by a concert by the Celloboys on the balcony of the Tallinn City Council. Admission to Tallinn City Museums will also be just 1 euro on the day.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">On Saturday, several events will happen in different districts of the city, including N\u00f5mme, Haabersti, the city centre and Mustam\u00e4e.
