The annual R\u00e4imeWest herring festival transforming the usual sleepy coastal village of Lao into a bustling place that showcases local fishing culture and history.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The annual herring festival is a sure sign of the beginning of summer for the residents of Lao village. Just like the sound of pottering boats and squarking seagulls has marked the return of fisherman with the first herring catch of the year for generations in the area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">During the day of the R\u00e4imeWest herring festival on May 11, it is possible to buy and try fresh herring in various forms and get to know local fishing culture and history.
