Celebrated English composer Mike Oldfield’s<\/strong> iconic “Tubular Bells” album turns 50 years this year. To mark the anniversary, there is a global tour. The next stop of which will be in Tallinn this evening, March 11.<\/p>\n

At the age of 17, Mike Oldfield composed “Tubular Bells”, the best-selling instrumental album of all time. The opening track of which featured on the soundtrack of the legendary horror film “The Exorcist”.<\/p>\n

Under the direction of Oldfield’s longtime collaborator Robin A Smith,<\/strong> an impressive ensemble will perform tracks from “Tubular Bells”, as well as other timeless hits such as “Moonlight Shadow”, “Summit Day”, “Family Man” and “Ommadawn\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlong with the musicians, it\u2019s a real privilege to be performing this extraordinary work. It\u2019s as fresh today as it was when Mike created it in 1971 – and I love having the chance to bring it to new audiences as well as those who, like me, are still captivated by it whenever they hear it,” shared Smith.<\/p>\n

Tickets for the concert this evening (March 11) at the Alexela Concert Hall in Tallinn are still available to buy at Piletilevi<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n
