The Tartu Ski Marathon, which includes 63 and 31 km races as well as relays and children\u2019s races, is also celebrating a special anniversary this year \u2013 its 50<sup>th<\/sup> edition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">First held in 1960, the Tartu Ski Marathon is one of the oldest in the world. This year marks a significant anniversary for the race too, as it will be celebrating its 50<sup>th<\/sup> edition this year \u2013 thanks to good snow cover on the course. The what is now two-day event is also one of the biggest ski marathons in the world, with around 5000 people set to take part.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">This year\u2019s Tartu Ski Marathon will begin on Saturday (February 17) with children\u2019s races, a vintage race over a 31 km course, as well as a relay race. The children\u2019s race taking place at T\u00e4htvere Sports Park in Tartu, and the other two races beginning in Arula and finishing at Tartumaa Tervisespordikeskus in Elva.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">However, the main races of the weekend are the 63 and 31 km races that will take place on Sunday (February 18).
