This Saturday, January 27, will see one of Estonia\u2019s most historic annual ski marathons take place for the 38th<\/sup> time. The Viru Marathon, which is held at M\u00f5edaku Puhkekeskus in L\u00e4\u00e4ne-Virumaa, is run over 42 and 21 km distances. There will also be shorter races for children.<\/p>\n

The Estoloppet ski marathon series will make its annual stop in M\u00f5edaku this Saturday for the Viru Marathon. The signature of the race, which can be competed in over 42 and 21 km distances, is that the hardest uphill sections are left to the end of the course. Testing the endurance of professionals and amateurs in equal measure.<\/p>\n

Children can also get in on the action too, with two races especially for them \u2013 one over 400m, and the other a little further at 1.5 km. As well as free skis available to rent, there will also be a ski lesson for them before the races.<\/p>\n
