Nearly 300 species, varieties and hybrids of peonies will be on display.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\" style=\"text-align: left;\">During the next two weeks, visitors are invited to take part in excursions and curator classes, attend workshops, listen to concerts or walk independently among the fragrant flower beds. If possible, I recommend watering the peonies from time to time. Even more important is watering in the second half of summer, when the preparation for next year begins,&#8221; added Jaakson.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\" style=\"text-align: left;\">All workshops, curator classes, excursions and the July 1 concert are included in the regular entrance ticket to the botanic garden, except for <strong>Jaan T\u00e4tte&#8217;s<\/strong> concert on Thursday, June 29.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The tradition of growing peonies as medicinal and beauty plants goes back several millennia in China, where these flowers symbolise royalty, wealth and beauty. The peony as an plant in Estonia was losing popularity at the beginning of this century, but now it has regained its glory, and varieties and hybrids with fascinating shapes and colours can be found in gardens all around the country.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Tallinn Botanic Garden is open every day from 10 am to 7 pm, including June 23 and 24.
