This was an increase of 49 per cent on the previous year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cLast year, the Estonian startup sector continued to grow. But in the third quarter, it was clear that efficiency and business sustainability were becoming more important than turnover numbers. This demonstrates the maturity and experience of our founders in managing companies and the will to prepare for possible setbacks in advance,&#8221; said <strong>Eve Peeterson<\/strong>, the head of Startup Estonia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">According to data released by the Estonian Tax and Customs Board (MTA), in 2022, Estonian Startups generated 2.1 Billion euros of turnover in 2022, this was 49 per cent more than in 2021. As a result, startups paid 185 million euros in employment taxes, which was 47 per cent than the previous year.
