{"id":111254,"date":"2022-10-30T08:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-10-30T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/balticguide.ee\/?p=111254"},"modified":"2022-10-28T18:59:24","modified_gmt":"2022-10-28T15:59:24","slug":"80s-german-synthesizer-pop-giants-camouflage-will-perform-in-estonia-next-autumn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/balticguide.ee\/en\/80s-german-synthesizer-pop-giants-camouflage-will-perform-in-estonia-next-autumn\/","title":{"rendered":"80s German synthesizer pop giants Camouflage will perform in Estonia next autumn"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">German band Camouflage, known for their songs &#8220;The Great Commandment&#8221;, &#8220;Love Is A Shield&#8221;, &#8220;Suspicious Love&#8221; and &#8220;Bad News&#8221;, will give a concert in Tallinn next year on October 27.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The band was founded in 1984 by singer <strong>Marcus Meyn<\/strong> and keyboard players <strong>Heiko Maile<\/strong> and <strong>Oliver Kreyssig<\/strong>. In 1987, the re-recorded debut single &#8220;The Great Commandment&#8221; reached number one on Billboard&#8217;s &#8220;Dance Club Songs&#8221; chart.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The album &#8220;Voices and Images&#8221; was released in 1988. It was influenced by new wave synthesizer pop and has recognisable Depeche Mode influences. A year later, the album &#8220;Methods of Silence&#8221; further expanded Camouflage&#8217;s sound palette.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Oliver Kreyssig left the group for personal reasons. Maile and Meyn remained as a duo. The group was completed by a group of studio musicians.
