According to data from the Interior Ministry, 1016 births were recorded in Estonia in the month of July. This is 14.9 per cent less than the same month last year. A total of 1312 deaths
were also recorded in the month. Although this is a fall of 2 per cent on the same month last year, Estonia\u2019s birth rate remained significantly below the death rate.
In July, 1016 births were recorded in Estonia. This is 14.9 per cent less than in July 2021 when 1194 births were recorded. As well as a slight decrease from June when 1031 births were recorded.<\/p>\n
Of the 1016 recorded births, 460 were girls and 556 were boys. There were also 16 pairs of twins recorded, of which 7 were pairs of boys, 5 were pairs of girls, and 4 were mixed pairs.<\/p>\n
The most popular 5 girls names in July were Mia, Elli, Emilia, Maria and Sandra. While for the boys, Erik, Lucas\/Lukas, Roman, Daniel, and Hugo were the 5 most popular.<\/p>\n
The Interior Ministry also announced that there were 1312 recorded deaths in Estonia in July. Although this figure is 2 per cent lower than July 2021 when 1339 deaths were recorded. There were almost 300 more deaths than births in the month. Part of a larger trend that has seen Estonia\u2019s population decline by 15% in the last three decades.<\/p>\n
