The P\u00e4rnu Music Festival, which starts today, will this year celebrate maestro Neeme J\u00e4rvi’s<\/strong> 85th birthday. The popular festival, which will run from July 13 to 22, is already taking place for the 12th time. <\/span><\/p>\n The program includes two final concerts performed by the Estonian Festival Orchestra conducted by Paavo J\u00e4rvi<\/strong>. Every year, world-famous soloists have also surprised audiences on the P\u00e4rnu stage, and that will be the case this summer as well.<\/p>\n “There are more concerts planned for this summer’s festival week than ever before,” said Kristjan Hallik<\/strong>, CEO of the music festival.<\/p>\n An essential part of the P\u00e4rnu Music Festival is the J\u00e4rvi Academy organised by Neeme J\u00e4rvi, Paavo J\u00e4rvi, Kristjan J\u00e4rvi<\/strong> and other masters. The J\u00e4rvi Academy organises master classes for young musicians and conductors.<\/p>\n You can also participate in the music event on the stage of P\u00e4rnu Concert Hall for the third summer through P\u00e4rnu Music Festival TV.<\/p>\n The P\u00e4rnu Music Festival is one of the most famous international classical music festivals in Estonia. The event combines the J\u00e4rvi Academy (workshops for young musicians), a high-level concert program, and the Estonian Festival Orchestra under the direction of Paavo J\u00e4rvi. The orchestra always performs once a year in front of a home audience in P\u00e4rnu, at the P\u00e4rnu Music Festival.<\/p>\n In addition to the festival’s main program, P\u00e4rnu Music Festival organises free concerts in the city.
