The Women\u2019s Tennis Association, the WTA, has confirmed that Tallinn will host a WTA 250 tournament during the last week of September. <\/span><\/p>\n Tallinn will play host to a WTA 250 tournament in the week of 26 September 2022. WTA 250 tournaments are the third level of WTA tournaments, after WTA 1000, and WTA 500 events. These are the lowest level of WTA tournaments on the WTA tour, before the lower WTA challenger series and ITF tours. <\/span><\/p>\n It is the fact that it the tournament is lowest level of WTA Tour that caused some government disapproval to the proposal for the tournament earlier in the year.
