The name of the app is Pilet.ee 2020. The application is compatible with both <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.pilet.ee.live\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Android<\/span><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/pilet-ee-2020\/id1518803712\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">iOS devices<\/span><\/a> and is available at the respective app stores.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Even without the application, a holder of the HSL Travel Card in Finland had the opportunity <a href=\"https:\/\/tallinn.pilet.ee\/buy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">to buy day tickets for Tallinn and Tartu public transport.<\/span><\/a> For example, under \u201cDay tickets\u201d you can tick \u201cHSL Travel Card\u201d, add the card number and buy a ticket.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">For this reason, the holder of an HSL Travel Card does not need to obtain a new travel card in Tallinn or Tartu. The new app means that those travelling from Helsinki can buy a ticket for public transport in Tallinn and Tartu either online via the app or using their HSL Travel Card.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">&nbsp;\u201cUsing public transport in Helsinki will become more convenient for Estonians. Thanks to the new application, you don\u2019t need to download a local mobile app or buy a local travel card or wait in the queue line for the ticketing machine while it\u2019s freezing cold outside.\u201d explained <strong>Andrei Novikov<\/strong>, Deputy Mayor of Tallinn.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The international public transport ticket system was implemented in cooperation between the three cities within the framework of the E-Ticketing project. The project has been funded by the European Union, among others.
