The exemption will last from the evening of December 31 until 6 am on January 2.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">This exemption means that bars, restaurants, nightclubs and other entertaintment venues will be able to open beyond 11 pm on both New Year&#8217;s Eve and New Year\u2019s Day. To enter these establishments, customers will still need to show proof of vaccination or infection in the past 6 months as well as an ID document, in line with current covid regulations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Although the number of daily new coronavirus infections has stablised in Estonia, because the new Omicron strain is already spreading in the country, the government has been advised by the health board not to lift the 11 pm curfew permanently at the moment.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Prime Minister Kaja Kallas explained, <span class=\"s1\">&#8220;This exemption does not mean the coronavirus will not spread on those two nights. I call on everyone who decides to spend New Year&#8217;s Eve at a public place to act responsibly to protect themselves and others.
