Want to visit a museum for free? Take part in Museum Sunday

Every first Sunday of the month marks a special occasion in Tallinn – Museum Sunday, which offers free entrance to city-owned museums. The upcoming Museum Sunday will take place this Sunday, June 2.
The initiative, spearheaded by the city government, aims to shine a spotlight on the vibrant culture and history of the city, making museums more accessible to both locals and visitors.
It is important to note, on these free Sunday’s, museums welcome individual visitors free of charge, however, guided group tours are not available. Also, visiting Tallinn City Museums on Museum Sunday requires pre-registration online, because of the popularity of the event. You can, however, book your museum visits up to 2 months in advance.
Mark your calendars for the upcoming Museum Sunday’s: June 2, July 7, August 4, September 1, October 6, November 3, and December 1. The following museums offer free admission as part of the event:

- Museum of Photography
- Kiek in de Kök Fortifications
- Kalamaja Museum
- Tallinn Russian Museum
- Nõmme Museum
- House of Peter the Great
- Lasnamäe Pavilion
- Contemporary Art Museum of Estonia
- Vilde Museum
- Mati Unt Museum
- Tammsaare Museum
- Song Festival Grounds Visitor Centre
