Motocross rider Harri Kullas, who was born in Helsinki, has represented Estonia for the fifth consecutive time in the Motocross of Nations.
In mid-November, the Unibet Arena will turn into a supercross stage when the international SX OPEN competition is held in Tallinn for the first time. The competition will feature 24 top riders from 12 different countries, with Finland represented by Jere Haavisto, Matias Vesterinen, and Rene Rannikko. An indoor track will be built in the arena using 2000 tonnes of soil to ensure the racing conditions meet international standards.
A total of 24 riders from twelve countries will take part in the competition. Finland will be represented by Jere Haavisto, Matias Vesterinen and Rene Rannikko. There will also be riders from the United States, Canada, Germany, Spain, France and Estonia, among others.
The starting line will feature several national champions, including Erlandas Mackonis from Lithuania, Joan Cros from Spain, and Latvia’s reigning champion Mairis Pumpurs. Many of them also compete in the AMA Supercross series in the United States. Estonia will be represented by eight riders, including Harri Kullas, well known to Finnish fans, who was part of the Estonian team at the Motocross of Nations held in the United States.
Around 3000 spectators are expected each day of the event. The track has been designed by Finnish track master Jussi Nikkilä, known for his work on the Tampere Supercross. Construction will be handled by Dutch builder Jarno Oldenijens and his team, who will arrive in Tallinn directly from the Stuttgart Supercross.
In addition to the races, the programme will include live music, DJ performances, and impressive stunts by Finland’s Stunt Freaks Team. Read more about the event on the SuperCross Tallinn website, and buy tickets here.
